We finished a math lesson. Then we completed a science activity. Then we took a break to create Valentine boxes and share treats with our classmates. (Thank you families for being so generous and sharing so many Valentines with the students.)

Thank you to all the families who helped with the 2023 holiday celebration.

One of my favorite classroom traditions is the holiday card and board game White Elephant exchange. I want to express my gratitude to all the families who contributed by bringing in their favorite games, ensuring the continuation of this tradition and leading to an afternoon of fun.

On Monday, our classroom visited Judge Scott Pearson’s courtroom to put on a mock trial, hear from the court’s bailiffs and participate in the Ask An Inmate program. It proved to be a terrific experience in which students learned more about the judicial process and the difference between “getting to go to court” and “having to go to court.”
Thanks to all the parents who shared pictures with me, so that I could post them to the blog.

Thank you to the families who helped with our Halloween celebration on Tuesday. We had four stations and plenty for students to do, after changing into costumes.
On Monday and continuing into Tuesday, we integrated an engineering activity, a science lesson, a reading passage and an Discovery Education video into our learning around the holiday.
