Our last official classroom celebration for the 2019-2020 had students making Valentines boxes before sharing cards and gifts. Love all the variation, although the outcome/goal was the same for all.
We had a great Halloween Celebration! Thank you parents and the planning committee for putting together such an engaging afternoon.
Admittedly, we squeezed in a full five hours of instruction, into just four hours; but it allowed us to be fully ready for a pumpkin relay race, pumpkin decorating, craft creating, and a couple of games of Kahoot.
Oh, and thank you “Mr. Grossman” for taking over so many of the instructional duties.
The last week of the school year included a lot of academics, our Field Day, and some celebrating. It was a terrific year and one of my favorites professionally. The end was paradoxical in which I certainly looked forward to a break but I didn’t look forward to saying goodbye to 22 terrific students.
For raising the most money during the Roy Gomm Jog-A-Thon, our students got to be “benchwarmers” during Saturday’s match between the Reno 1868 and the Austin Bold. Thank you Mirie for putting the prize together and to the students for raising so much money for Roy Gomm.
Thank you families for organizing our Valentines Celebration. It included a photo booth, several Minute to Win It games, and fun foods. After two consecutive days of indoor recess, I think taking the hour we did for a series of fun activities was clearly welcome.
To start, thank you to my Room Parents who organized a great experience for the students. The children competed in a pumpkin relay race, finished a craft, braided rope/tug toys for dogs, that will be donated, and did an event involving marshmallows and vampire teeth!

Thank you families for helping with our white elephant holiday book exchange. The kids were able to sort through a number of terrific titles and best of all, everyone has something to read during the vacation.
Our winter break begins tomorrow but before tracking off, we fit in our holiday celebration. Thank you to all the parents who helped put the experiences together. And thank you for bringing in such great food!
